One owner, purchased new in Oct. 1996. MacGregor makes very strong boats. I have sailed in winds up to 50mph using storm sails provided. This is a good lake and coastal cruiser and is easily trailered, launched and retrieved. It can handle most anything you can.

Boat has been used a lot and has minor blemishes consistent with normal use. Dings and scratches have been covered with gel coat which can be seen close up. There has been no major damage done in fifteen and a half years. The original helm was defective and was replaced with no further problems. A spare will be furnished for “just in case”. The steering arm in cockpit and cable were upgraded to a later model, furnished by MacGregor at no charge and installed by me. Trailer was changed to disc brakes, has new surge unit, two good tires on ground and two spares.

A 25hp Yamaha 4-stroke motor is furnished. Six hp is all that is necessary but it is designed to take up to 50hp. The two 6v golf cart batteries provide ample power for most needs. Two double clutches were added to make raising and lowering sails from the cockpit easier. Blocks to accomplish this are furnished. A pelican hook was added to a lifeline in cockpit for ease of boarding. A 22lb claw anchor w/105ft of rode will hold boat in most wind conditions. A gin pole is included to make raising and lowering mast easy. It is not necessary as I can raise and lower the mast by myself, however it is more safe to use it.
